Two Men Arrested For 1987 Lakeland Murder

LAKELAND | Two men have been arrested by Lakeland police and charged with killing a Lakeland woman 21 years ago today.

Loma Brace, 49, was found beaten to death in her south Lakeland apartment on Feb. 2, 1987. She had been killed the day before, Feb. 1. Until today, no one had been charged with her death.

Police arrested Clayton A. Fivecoat, 67, and charged him with murder and perjury. Fivecoat is a civilian employee with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. Also arrested was Budwin Basil Brace, Loma Brace’s ex-husband. He was charged with perjury.
