The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit detectives are continuing their investigation to catch those responsible for the murder of Ronald Leggett. Leggett, a business owner in the Lakeland area, was found murdered inside his residence at 1305 Timberidge Drive in Lakeland, Florida.

Ronald Leggett’s parents discovered their murdered son when they arrived at his residence to check on his well-being. Ronald Leggett had not been heard from in several days. The investigation has determined that Leggett sustained multiple blunt force trauma and stab wounds. It is presumed that Leggett may have known his assailant(s).

Ronald Leggett owned many rental properties in the Lakeland area and operated his own used appliance business. He was known to many area residents and friends as “Santa Claus".
